Welcome to a place where early childhood is cherished as the most magical time of all — a season of curiosity, wonder, and boundless possibility.
At Little Willows, children are not simply cared for — they are deeply known and loved. Each child is seen as capable, creative, and full of unique potential. My teaching is rooted in a belief that the preschool years are sacred: they shape the way a child sees themselves as a learner and a human being. With nearly twenty years of experience guiding young children, I’ve come to understand that the most powerful learning happens when children feel loved, respected, and free to explore at their own pace.
Our philosophy is inspired by Reggio Emilia — where the classroom is a living environment, the teacher is a co-learner, supporting student interests and inquiries. Play is purposeful by infusing materials into playtime, such as money, when we learn about money. Through inquiry, art, storytelling, science, and imagination, children build both knowledge and confidence. Every discovery, every conversation, every “what if” moment matters. We balance joyful exploration with gentle structure, creating a space that honors both academic readiness and emotional growth.
Families choose this preschool because it feels like home — a place where your child is celebrated for exactly who they are. Here, learning is joyful, childhood is protected, and every day is filled with connection, laughter, and love. I promise to nurture your child as if they were my own, guiding them through these formative years with warmth, patience, and wonder.
When children feel truly seen, learning becomes magical — and magic lasts a lifetime. A fan favorite is our art unit wherein we learn about artists throughout time and place, and agree on guiding principles to create work inspired by given artists. We celebrate our work with an art show! We also offer seasonal exhibitions (ie. maker, math, and writing parties) to support the family: school connection in addition to our newsletters.
I also offer Willow Playdates and Parent Date nights, as well as parent teacher conferences, as well as student entrepreneurial showcases. Students are nurtured with positive guidance, inspiring a sense of belonging versus shaming. Strategies include role play, modeling, conflict management special time with Mrs. Clark wherein students work together in some medium, reparative conversations.
