Meet Mrs. Clark

With nearly twenty years of experience teaching preschool through second grade, I bring both depth and heart to early learning. I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership, Bachelor’s degrees in French and Linguistics, a Cleared Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Single Subject Authorizations in English Language Arts and French, and a Site Supervisor Permit in Early Childhood Education. Additionally, I am highly trained in math and multi-sensory phonics.

Each of these credentials reflects my lifelong commitment to understanding how children learn — through language, play, connection, and joy. My background allows me to weave rich academic content into hands-on, imaginative experiences that nurture the whole child. I aim to balance this with imaginative and collaborative play. Imaginative play is essential for preschoolers because it strengthens language, social skills, emotional regulation, creativity, and problem-solving while helping children process real-life experiences in a safe and meaningful way. Through pretend play, children build confidence, empathy, self-control, and flexible thinking as they move their bodies, collaborate with others, and take ownership of their ideas. Collaborative play offers communication, socio-emotional skills, and leadership development.

Equally important is my focus on social-emotional learning, helping children recognize, then communicate feelings, build empathy, problem solve, and grow resiliently through play and reflection. Most of all, I promise to care for your children as if they were my own — with love, patience, curiosity, and a deep respect for who they are and who they are becoming. Integral to my teaching philosophy is honoring each child’s unique language of learning.

I welcome questions, so feel invited to reach out by phone or email, or better yet, join our mailing list. Tour dates TBD.
